Luisa Neubauer and Lisann Sophie Mai at the UNESCO Youth Forum

Climate activist Luisa Neubauer visited the 13th edition of the UNESCO Youth Forum on 14th November 2023 during the 42nd session of UNESCO’s General Conference (7th to 22nd November 2023). During a panel discussion with climate activists from Morocco and Senegal, she discussed shared experiences regarding the mobilisation of young people for climate change.
UNESCO invited Lisann Sophie Mai as the German Youth representative on the suggestion of the German Commission for UNESCO and she participated in this year’s UNESCO Youth Forum’s theme of “Social Impacts of Climate Change and the need to achieve an equitable climate transition”. The Youth Forum has taken place since 1999 and it strives to give young people from all over the world the opportunity to raise their concerns during UNESCO’s General Conference.
