Film world premiere “Human Requiem in Eleusius” at UNESCO

The Permanent delegations of Greece and Germany invited to the screening of the film world premiere “Human Requiem in Eleusius”, together with the World Human Forum, on 4th April 2024 at UNESCO headquarters. The film of the French film director, Stephan Talneau, took the 600 invited guests on a visual and auditory journey through the impressive presentation of the Brahms Requiem. The premiere evoked the performance which took place on 23rd October 2023 in the main European cultural capital Eleusis. The performance was presented in cooperation with the Berlin Radio Choir (Rundfunkchor Berlin) and a choreography of Sasha Waltz to the myth of Demeter and Persephone under the direction of Jochen Sandig.
Among the guests of honour at UNESCO were Alexandra Mitsotaki, president of the World Human Forum, Kalliope Papangeli, former director of the archaeological site of Eleusis, Jochen Sandig, Sasha Waltz, Stephan Talneau and the Assistant Director-General for culture, Ernesto Ottone. After the successful premiere at UNESCO, the film “Human Requiem in Eleusius” will be shown on ARTE TV in Autumn 2024.
