On 31st March 2026, Ms Kerstin Pürschel, Ambassador and Permanent delegate of Germany to UNESCO, received a delegation from the Fondation Louis Vuitton, together with her French counterpart, H.E. Ms Ahlem Gharbi at UNESCO headquarters.

The visitors enjoyed an exclusive guided tour of UNESCO, which has the largest art collection among the UN organisations, including work of art by Giacometti, Calder and Picasso. The delegation could not only admire the outstanding collection but also gain insights in the multilateral work of UNESCO in the areas of education, science and culture.

The focus of the visit was discussions about potential collaborations and partnerships between UNESCO and the Fondation Louis Vuitton. In addition to this, the delegation met Julien Pellaux, Director of the Partnerships Division of UNESCO, so as to discuss specific ideas for joint projects and initiatives.
